The Flaming Cliffs, also known as Bayanzag, is a region of the Gobi Desert in Mongolia where important fossil finds have been made. The area is most famous for yielding the first discovery of dinosaur eggs. Other finds in the area include specimens of Velociraptor and eutherian mammals. The cliffs are known for their red or orange color, especially at sunset. The site has exposed rocks of the Djadochta Formation and is a significant location for paleontological discoveries
