Playa Akumal

Akumal is a small beachfront tourist resort community in Mexico, located 100 km south of Cancún, between the towns of Playa del Carmen and Tulum. It is famous as a destination for snorkeling, where visitors can swim with endangered green sea turtles that visit the bay to feed on sea grass. The community has a population of 1,310 and features beautiful white sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a variety of accommodations.
