What to expect

Bahia Petempich, located in the Riviera Maya region, is a beautiful bay with long expanses of sand and turquoise waters. Historically a fishing village, the area has recently seen growth with new hotels and resorts. The bay offers a 5.6-km out-and-back trail that is great for walking and is generally considered an easy route. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. The area is also home to the Parque Nacional Arrecife de Puerto Morelos, which protects the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world. Families can enjoy snorkeling, scuba diving, and other water activities in the area
