The Malecón is a 12-block, mile-long esplanade in Puerto Vallarta's Centro and Zona Romántica. It's a waterfront promenade that offers stunning views of the Banderas Bay and surrounding mountains. The Malecón features numerous sculptures, including 'The Boy on the Seahorse', 'Erizados', and 'The Fish Sellers' Mosaic'. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the promenade, take in the local art, and visit the various shops, restaurants, and cafes in the area. The Malecón is also a great spot to watch the sunset and enjoy the street performers and live music. While the adjacent beach is not suitable for swimming, it's a great place to sunbathe, relax, and take in the views. The area is also home to the Malecón Lighthouse and the Cuale River, which runs through the city
