What to expect

The Museo del Desierto is a museum that promotes an ecological culture, featuring a large collection of fossils, plants, and autochthonous animals of the Mexican desert. The museum is divided into four main pavilions with different themes: The desert and its past, Man and the desert: A space of meetings, Evolution and biodiversity, and The Laboratory of life. The museum also features interactive exhibits, a laboratory of herpetology, and a biodome. Visitors can see fossils, dinosaur skeletons, and a collection of live animals, including a colony of prairie dogs.
