Rochester Falls is a waterfall situated in the Savanne district of Mauritius, known for its rectangular flank rocks and dramatic cliff face. The fall is one of the most popular tourist attractions and the widest waterfall in Mauritius. It is located on the Savanne River, approximately 2.5 km from Souillac, and tumbles from a height of about 10 meters. The waterfall is a great spot for a picnic and offers a scenic view. Visitors can access the falls through two paths, one leading to the top and the other to the bottom, although the terrain can be challenging. It is advisable to avoid visiting during heavy rainy seasons as the water level and torrent can reach dangerous levels. The falls have been featured in many Bollywood movies and are a must-visit attraction in Mauritius
