The Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden, also known as the Pamplemousses Botanic Garden, is a popular tourist attraction in Pamplemousses, near Port Louis, Mauritius. The garden is home to an incredible variety of tropical plants, including giant water lilies, spices, ebonies, sugar canes, and 85 varieties of palms from Central America, Asia, Africa, and the islands around the Indian Ocean. Many trees have been planted by world leaders and royalty. The garden stretches over 37 hectares and features a long pond of giant water lilies, as well as other indigenous species of plants. It's a great place for nature lovers and families to explore and learn about different plant species

Activities: We visited the park and saw a huge variety of tropical plants, medicinal herbs and 85 different kinds of palm trees. We also saw a pond with orange fish, giant water lily leaves, a small lake with lotus flowers, super-spiky trees and giant tortoises

Highlights: Our kids liked the pond with orange fish, and the different types of leaves they found on the ground. Our children were also fascinated by some super-spiky trees that looked very scary ✨
