The Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary is a reserve located in the mangrove forest along the coastal land near Kampung Semawang. It is home to around 150 free-ranging proboscis monkeys. The sanctuary has two observation platforms where visitors can observe the monkeys feeding, playing, and interacting with each other. The monkeys are wild but highly habituated, and visitors can get very close to them. Other animals that can be spotted in the area include silver-leaf monkeys and oriental pied hornbills. The sanctuary offers a unique opportunity to observe these amazing creatures up close and learn about the importance of conservation and sustainable coexistence with nature
