The Sam Poh Tong Temple is a Chinese temple built within a limestone cave and is the oldest and the main cave temple in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. The temple was built in a raw limestone cave in the mountains and follows Mahāyāna Buddhism. It features a steep climb of 246 steps to the cave opening, offering a view of the city of Ipoh and its surroundings. The temple contains artwork such as a reclining Buddha figure and offers visitors the opportunity to feed fish and turtles in its turtle pond as a means of balancing one's karma. The temple's compound includes a crematorium and a columbarium, and its garden is beautifully landscaped with a large fish pond, Japanese stone lanterns, and pagodas.
