What to expect

Perak Tong Cave Temple is a captivating religious site in Perak, Malaysia, nestled within a limestone hill, offering visitors a serene and spiritual experience. The temple is located inside a karst tower and features a grand staircase, a majestic gateway, and a big chamber with a high dome and numerous side branches. The main chamber is dominated by a golden sitting Buddha statue, which is 12 meters tall, flanked by four guardian deities. The walls of the cavern are decorated with colorful murals depicting characters and events from Chinese mythology and Buddhist scriptures. Behind the main altar, a flight of steps makes its way into the far recesses of the cave and out through an opening on the side of the hill, leading to a trail that winds its way up the hillside, passing gazebos and pavilions, and offering great views of the surrounding area
