What to expect

Majete Wildlife Reserve is a nature reserve in southwestern Malawi, established as a protected area in 1955. The reserve features savanna and woodland ecosystems, including riparian forest, and is home to over 12,000 animals, including the Big Five game species. Visitors can enjoy safaris, birdwatching, and other activities, and stay at the Thawale lodge or community campsite. The reserve has a heritage centre, a restaurant, and a swimming pool, and offers guided tours and educational programs. The park is a great place for families to visit, with plenty of opportunities to see wildlife, including giraffes, elephants, lions, and hyenas, and to learn about conservation efforts
