What to expect
The Riga City Canal is a 3.2 km long water canal that encircles the historic centre and Old Town of Riga. The canal has a depth of approximately 2 meters and is crossed by 16 bridges. It was created from the former defensive moats and has been transformed into a recreational area with gardens and walking paths.
