What to expect

Ajloun Castle, also known as Qal'at Ar-Rabad, is a 12th-century Muslim castle situated in northwestern Jordan. It is placed on a hilltop belonging to the Mount Ajloun district and provides visitors with astonishing views of the Jordan Valley and surrounding desert. The castle has a rich history, having been built by the Ayyubids in the 12th century and enlarged by the Mamluks in the 13th. It features a museum with historical information and artifacts, including mosaics and medieval weaponry. Visitors can climb one of the towers for spectacular views of the rolling hills and desert. The castle is also surrounded by olive groves with picturesque walking trails, which are best visited in spring when they are adorned with wildflowers
