Wakayama Castle is a Japanese castle located in the city of Wakayama, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. The castle was built in 1585-1586 by Toyotomi Hidenaga and was the administrative center of Kishū Domain for most of the Edo Period. Although the original tenshu and buildings were destroyed, the current structures were rebuilt in concrete in 1958. The castle features a three-story tenshu connected to three corner yagura by corridors and offers a glimpse into Japan's rich history
