Shitamachi Museum

The Shitamachi Museum is a museum dedicated to the traditional culture of Tokyo's Shitamachi, located on the shores of Shinobazu Pond within Ueno Park. The museum features exhibits on the daily life and culture of the people who lived in the Shitamachi area, including a life-size replica of a merchant's house, a small tenement house, and various artifacts such as toys, dolls, and kitchen utensils. The museum also has a collection of exhibits related to festivals and other events, as well as a public bath entrance donated by the original owner. Visitors can explore the museum's two floors and learn about the history and culture of the Shitamachi area
