The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is a complex of three structures, each taking up a city block. The tallest of the three is the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building No.1, a tower 48 stories tall that splits into two sections at the 33rd floor. The building has two panoramic observation decks, one in each tower on floor 45, which are free of charge to the public and contain gift shops and cafes. The observation decks provide good panoramic views of Tokyo and beyond, with famous landmarks such as Mount Fuji, the Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Tower, Meiji Shrine, and the Tokyo Dome visible on a clear day. The building also features huge daily projection mapping shows on the twin towers in the evenings

Highlights: Offering a superb 360° view, it seems that, on a very nice day, Mount Fuji is visible ✨

Activities: We visited the Metropolitan Government office, which is the only free viewpoint in this list. We took the elevator to the 45th floor, which is over 200 meters high, and enjoyed the views of the city from both the North and South
Highlights: The Metropolitan Government office was a great free option for enjoying the views of Tokyo. We enjoyed seeing the city lit up at night ✨
