Hakone Shrine is a Japanese Shinto shrine located on the shores of Lake Ashi in the town of Hakone. The shrine has a long history, dating back to 757, and is famous for its beautiful scenery and cultural significance. Visitors can learn about the shrine's history at the shrine treasure house, see the 'red gate of peace' standing proud and tall in Ashinoko Lake, and attend various festivals and celebrations, including the Ashinoko Summer Festival Week. The shrine is also known for its small museum, which displays a number of the shrine's treasures, including five items ranked as national Important Cultural Property

Activities: We walked further up the steps into the forest and come out at the Hakone Shrine. We bought a wooden wish board and wrote our wish on it, our daughter decorated it with a beautiful drawing and we hung it up at the temple
