What to expect

The Scuola Grande di San Rocco is a unique site in the heart of Venice where art, culture, and devotion meet. It is a lay confraternity founded in 1478 and is home to an extraordinary artistic patrimony, including over 60 paintings by Tintoretto, illustrating episodes from the New and Old Testaments. The building features two halls, one at ground floor level and the other at first floor level, with a stair leading to the upper storey. The Scuola Grande di San Rocco is still active today, carrying out its traditional charitable duties and looking after its artistic heritage.
