The town is situated at the foot of Mount Ingino and features a Roman theatre, the second-largest surviving in the world. The town is also famous for its traditional medieval festivals in May and its craft of ceramics, embroidery, lace making, and wrought iron. Nearby attractions include the Roman mausoleum, the Abbey of San Secondo, and the Gola del Bottaccione gorge, which offers a scenic hike and a visit to the Monastery of Sant'Ambrogio. At the top of Mount Ingino, visitors can find the Basilica of Sant'Ubaldo, which houses the urn with the body of the town's patron saint
