The area around the lake is known for its beautiful scenery, with rolling hills, sunflower and corn fields, vineyards, and olive groves. Visitors can enjoy activities such as boating, fishing, and hiking, and explore the nearby towns and villages, including Castiglione del Lago, Città della Pieve, and Panicale. The lake is also home to several historical sites, including the Fortress of the Lion and the Romanesque church of San Salvatore
