The garden contains over 2,000 plant species, including Mediterranean varieties and exotic specimens from around the world. The garden is organized in the style of 19th-century Italian gardens, with winding paths, small ponds, and a variety of plants and trees, including Ginkgo biloba, fir, giant sequoias, and junipers. The garden also features a greenhouse, a tepidarium, and a lemon grove. The Herbarium Universitatis Senensis, located within the garden, is a repository for over 90,000 dried plant specimens, including vascular plants, lichens, bryophytes, fungi, and algae. The garden is a peaceful oasis in the heart of the city, offering a unique opportunity to explore the natural world and learn about the importance of biodiversity
