Tour de Pise

Monument Pisa, Tuscany, Italy

What to expect

The Leaning Tower of Pisa, located in the Italian town of Pisa, is one of the most remarkable architectural structures from medieval Europe. It is a bell tower, or campanile, that stands at 55.86 meters tall and is known for its nearly four-degree lean due to an unstable foundation. The tower is part of the cathedral complex in Pisa, called Campo dei Miracoli or Piazza dei Miracoli, which also includes the cathedral, baptistery, and cemetery. The tower has eight stories, including the chamber for the bells, and a 297-step spiral staircase leading to the top. With its beautiful architecture and extraordinary tilt, the Leaning Tower of Pisa is a must-visit attraction for families and a great place to learn about history and engineering
