The Buonconsiglio Castle is a monumental complex and the largest in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. It was the residence of the prince-bishops of Trento from the 13th century to the end of the 18th century. The castle is composed of a series of buildings of different eras, including the oldest nucleus Castelvecchio, the 16th-century Magno Palazzo, and the Baroque-style Giunta Albertiana. The castle features several notable artworks, including the famous Cycle of the Months, a secular pictorial cycle of the late Middle Ages, and frescoes by Dosso Dossi and Girolamo Romanino. The castle has undergone restoration and is now home to the Provincial Gallery of Art. Visitors can explore the castle's interior, which includes the Torre Aquila, the Palazzo Magno, and the Castelvecchio, and admire its beautiful frescoes and architectural details. The castle also offers guided tours and has wheelchair-accessible areas, including a lift and accessible toilets
