Schloss Tirol, also known as Tyrol Castle, is a historic castle that was the ancestral seat of the Counts of Tyrol. The castle has a long history dating back to the 11th century and features Romanesque portals, frescoes, and a double chapel. Today, it houses the South Tyrolean Museum of Cultural and Provincial History, which showcases the history of Tyrol from its beginnings to the present. The castle also has a Bird Care Centre where visitors can see birds of prey. Audio guides are available for children and adults in multiple languages. The castle is not barrier-free, but small dogs are allowed in the area
