The Schlern is a mountain located in the Trentino-Alto Adige region of Italy, near the city of Ritten. It offers a scenic walk with splendid views, leading past two ancient churches, St. Verena and St. Andreas, and discovering numerous hidden gems of the Ritten. The walk starts at the church in Lengstein and takes around 5 hours to complete, with a medium level of difficulty. The Schlern is also part of the Salten-Schlern district, which comprises the lower part of the valley of the Eisack River. The district has a population of around 48,286 people and covers an area of 1,037 km2
