Lago di Molveno is a lake in Trentino, Italy, located at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites. The lake is a popular destination for nature lovers and those interested in culture and history. The lake is also home to a petrified forest that was discovered when the lake was drained in 1952. The formation of Lake Molveno dates back to the early Iron Age, around 3000 years ago. The town of Molveno, located at the north end of the lake, offers a range of amenities, including a campsite, a multifunctional center with sports facilities, and a congress hall. The lake and surrounding area are suitable for families, with activities such as boat trips, walks along the lake shore, and visits to the local water mill and 13th-century San Vigilio church
