San Cassiano is a village located at 1,537 meters of altitude, at the foot of the Lavarela and Conturines massifs, in the Dolomites. The village offers a variety of accommodation facilities and is known for its high level of hospitality. In winter, skiing is a popular activity, with access to the Dolomiti Superski carousel via the Piz Sorega cable car and the Alta Badia Cross-Country Ski Centre. In summer, the village is surrounded by spectacular trails, including those in the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park and the Lagazuoi. The village is also home to the tunnel on Mt. Lagazuoi, a mine tunnel blown up in 1917 that has been restored and is now open to visitors
