Peloritani mountains

The Peloritani mountains are a mountain range in north-eastern Sicily, offering spectacular views of the Tyrrhenian Sea, the Aeolian Islands, and Mount Etna. The range is home to lush woods, abundant water springs, green pastures, and beautiful medieval villages with unexpected works of art and excellent food. Visitors can explore the old villages, such as Savoca, Casalvecchio Siculo, Sant’Alessio Siculo, and Forza D’Agrò, and discover their picturesque scenery. The Peloritani mountains are also home to the megaliths of Argimusco, a unique rock formation, and the Montagna Grande, the highest peak in the range. The area is perfect for hiking and exploring, with many trails and paths to discover, including the ancient path, Dorsale dei Peloritani, which runs along the ridge line from Monte Dinnammare to the Rocca di Novara
