Monreale Cathedral

The Monreale Cathedral, also known as the Duomo di Monreale, is a stunning example of Byzantine-Norman architecture in Sicily, Italy. Built in the 12th century by King William II, the cathedral features an impressive collection of mosaics, including 6400 square meters of gold and glasswork. The mosaics depict scenes from the Bible, including the Stories of Genesis, the Gospels, and the Apocalypse.
