Monte Limbara is a mountain in northeast Sardinia, Italy. The mountain has a unique landscape with granite rocks eroded into bizarre and spectacular shapes. The territory is covered in a green mantle that varies according to altitude, with bushes prevailing on the peaks and Mediterranean scrub at medium-low altitude. The mountain is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including rare plants such as Limbara ribes, Corsican viola, and royal fern, as well as mammals like wild boar, weasel, hare, and mouflon. Visitors can explore the mountain through various hiking trails, including the 'tafoni' itinerary, which leads to the discovery of granite rocks eroded by weather, and the 'summit' trail, which reaches the highest peak of the Limbara, Punta Balistreri.
