The Area della fauna protetta, also known as Parco Regionale Adda Sud, is a protected area located in the Lombardy region of Italy, near the city of Rivolta d'Adda. The park follows the course of the Adda river and covers an area of approximately 24,260 hectares. It features a diverse landscape with forests, wetlands, and fluvial beaches. The park is home to a wide range of flora and fauna, including rare species such as the Orchide militare, Campanellino estivo, and Primula. Visitors can enjoy various activities, including cycling, with seven itineraries to choose from, and walking, with trails such as the Sentiero delle Libellule, which is accessible to people with disabilities. The park also features the Parco della Preistoria, where visitors can see reconstructions of dinosaurs and other prehistoric species. The area is also a popular spot for birdwatching, with several species of birds, including the falco di palude, and a variety of fish, including the Lampreda di fiume
