Palazzo Te

Palace Mantua, Lombardy, Italy

What to expect

Palazzo Te is a Mannerist Renaissance Villa located in Mantua, Italy. It was designed and constructed by Giulio Romano between 1525 and 1535 for Federico II Gonzaga, Marquess of Mantua. The palace features a square court-yard, enclosed on all four sides with smooth ashlar walls and Doric semi-columns, supporting a classical entablature. The interior is adorned with frescoes, including the Sala di Psiche and the Sala dei Cavalli, which showcase the most remarkable examples of refined stuccos.
