Parco delle Incisioni Rupestri

The Parco delle Incisioni Rupestri, also known as the Rock Engraving Park, is an archaeological park located in Grosio, Italy. The park features a unique collection of over 5,000 petroglyphs, or rock engravings, on the surface of the Rupe Magna, a large rock that owes its shape to the action of the Valtellina glacier. The engravings depict various themes, including human figures, animals, and geometric shapes, and date back to the Neolithic Period, around the 4th millennium BC. The park also includes two castles, the Castello Vecchio and the Castello Nuovo, which offer a glimpse into the region's rich history. Visitors can explore the park's natural beauty, including its traditional dry-stone terraces, and learn about the area's cultural heritage at the Antiquarium, a museum that showcases the park's archaeological findings
