The Torre Argentina Cat Sanctuary is a cat shelter in Rome, Italy, that makes use of the ancient ruins of Largo di Torre Argentina by providing a home within them for around 150 cats. The shelter's main goal is sterilizing the cats, and they also have many cats up for adoption. Visitors can come to meet the cats and browse souvenirs made by the volunteers at the shelter. The sanctuary is home to disabled and elderly cats, who are less likely to be adopted, and provides a unique experience for families to learn about and interact with cats in a historic setting

Activities: We visited the Torre Argentina Cat Sanctuary, where we saw over 150 stray, elderly, and disabled cats living in a large open-air park filled with ruins. The cats were all over the ruins, and we even got to pet some of them
Highlights: We all loved spending time with the cats, especially the tiny cat Tip Tap suffering from cerebral ataxia. We also met a cat with no eyes, lazily laying on the floor, living his best life. It was a very moving experience for us all! ✨
