Orange Grove on Aventine Hill

The Orange Grove on Aventine Hill, also known as the Savello Park or Giardino degli Aranci, is a beautiful park that offers spectacular views of Rome, especially at sunset. The park is located on the Aventine Hill and covers an area of almost 8,000 square meters. It was designed in 1932 by architect Raffaele De Vico and features a main avenue lined with two planted squares, a monumental fountain, and many bitter orange trees. The park has a rich history, having been the site of a medieval fortress built by the Savelli family and later a monastery for the Dominican Order. According to legend, Saint Dominic planted the garden's first orange tree. The park is a great place to visit with family and enjoy the stunning views of Rome
