The Church of San Luigi dei Francesi is a Catholic church and the national church of France in Rome. The church is dedicated to the patron saints of France: Virgin Mary, Dionysius the Areopagite, and King Louis IX of France. It features a beautiful facade designed by Giacomo della Porta, with statues of Charlemagne, St. Louis, St. Clothilde, and St. Jeanne of Valois. The interior has three naves, with five chapels on each side, and a presbytery. The church is home to several famous artworks, including three paintings by Caravaggio: 'The Calling of St. Matthew', 'St. Matthew and the Angel', and 'The Martyrdom of St. Matthew'. The church also houses other notable works, such as frescoes by Domenichino and Guido Reni. Visitors can admire the church's ornate interior, including its gilded stucco work and intricate decorations
