Le Mura di Ferrara are a fortified wall that originally completely surrounded the city of Ferrara, with a total length of about 13 kilometers. Today, the wall is about 9 kilometers long and features several bastions, torrions, and gates, including the Porta degli Angeli. The wall was built in the Middle Ages and was remodeled between the 15th and 16th centuries.
