The Cappella Sansevero, also known as the Chapel of Santa Maria della Pietà, is a chapel located in the historic center of Naples, Italy. It contains works of Rococo art by some of the leading Italian artists of the 18th century. The chapel houses almost thirty works of art, including three particular sculptures of note: the Veiled Truth, Christ Veiled under a Shroud, and Release from Deception. The chapel's ceiling, the Glory of Paradise, was painted by Francesco Maria Russo in 1749. The chapel is a noble mausoleum and a temple of initiation, showcasing Baroque creativity, beauty, and mystery.
