Isola di Capo Rizzuto is a town in the province of Crotone, Calabria, Italy. Despite its name, the town is entirely on the mainland. The seaside district of Capo Rizzuto is a peninsula, and the main historical attraction, the 16th-century fortification in the district of Le Castella, stands on a piece of land connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway. The town has a population of around 15,000 and is part of the Marine Protected Area Capo Rizzuto. Visitors can explore the town's historic sites, including the powerful fortification and the Capo Piccolo promontory, which features important Early Bronze Age II and Middle Bronze Age I-II artifacts of Minoan origin
