Val Ferret is a valley located at the foot of Mont Blanc, offering a wide range of activities for visitors. The valley is also home to several refuges, including the Bertone Refuge, Bonatti Refuge, and Elena Refuge, which offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains. In the winter, Val Ferret is a popular destination for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and fat biking. The valley is also known for its rich flora and fauna, with 81 bird species identified, including the golden eagle and bearded vulture, as well as a variety of plants and flowers. Visitors can also explore the Saussurea Alpine Botanical Garden, one of the highest in Europe, which features a wide range of alpine plants
