What to expect

The Museo delle Alpi, located in the Forte di Bard, is a cultural hub dedicated to the Western Alps. The museum offers an interactive, multimedia, and multidisciplinary journey to discover the Alps and the mountain culture. The exhibition space consists of twenty-nine rooms divided into four parts, where visitors can learn about the interpretation of the contemporary landscape, the mountain environment, alpine civilization, and the transformation of the mountain in its period of modernization. The museum also features interactive exhibits, including a virtual climb of Mont Blanc, and a section on the history of the Fort of Bard, which was once a military outpost and later a prison. The museum is suitable for adults, students, and children, and offers a unique and enjoyable learning experience
