Birr Castle

Birr Castle is a large castle in the town of Birr in County Offaly, Ireland. It is the home of the 7th Earl of Rosse and his family. The castle grounds, gardens, and Science Centre are open to the public and feature a range of attractions, including the Great Telescope, which was once the largest in the world. The gardens are home to over 5,000 species of trees and plants, and there are scenic trails along rivers and waterfalls. The Science Centre showcases the history of science, engineering, and astronomy, and there is also a playground and Ireland's Historic Science Centre. The castle has been home to the Parsons family for over 400 years and features a range of architectural styles, including Gothic and Victorian
