The Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre is a historic site located on the banks of the River Boyne, where the famous Battle of the Boyne took place in 1690. The centre is housed in the restored 18th-century Oldbridge House and offers an in-depth insight into the battle between King William III and his father-in-law King James II. Visitors can learn about the story of the battle through audio-visual shows, original and replica 17th-century weaponry displays, and a laser battlefield model. The centre also features a tea pavilion, gift shop, and toilets. The surrounding gardens and parkland are perfect for a stroll, with a natural amphitheatre, walled garden, and walking trails. The site is suitable for families, with self-guiding walks and historical reenactments. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads, and visitors should be cautious of the canal and river nearby
