Croagh Patrick

Croagh Patrick, a holy mountain in County Mayo, is a place of great spiritual significance. The mountain has been a sacred site for over 3,000 years, with people gathering to celebrate the beginning of harvest season. According to Christian tradition, St. Patrick fasted at the peak of the mountain for 40 days in 441 AD. Each year, around 1 million pilgrims climb to the summit, with many taking part in the annual Reek Sunday pilgrimage on the last Sunday in July.
