What to expect

Malahide Castle is a medieval castle with a dramatic 800-year heritage. The castle has been home to the Talbot family for 791 years and features a central Norman tower house, an Oak Room with dark panelling and furniture dating back to the 1600s, and a Great Hall built in 1495 for banquets. The castle is set on 260 acres of parkland and includes the beautiful Talbot Botanic Gardens, which showcase 5,000 plant varieties from around the world. The castle and gardens are a great place to visit with family and offer a fairy trail, interactive exhibits, and plenty of space for picnics. The castle is also wheelchair accessible on the first two floors
