Dalkey

Dalkey is a village in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown county southeast of Dublin, Ireland. It was founded as a Viking settlement and became a port in the Middle Ages. The village is known for its stunning coastline, with several small harbours and a natural harbour at Bullock. Dalkey Island, located just offshore, is home to a colony of seals and a herd of wild goats. The village has a rich history, with several castles built in the area, including a remaining Norman castle now used as a heritage centre and town hall. Dalkey is also home to many writers, artists, and celebrities, and has a number of amenities, including restaurants, bars, and shops. The village is surrounded by beautiful scenery, with Killiney Hill and Dalkey Hill offering stunning views of the coastline.
