Bundoran Beach is a sandy beach facing Donegal Bay and the Atlantic, popular with surfers. The beach is lifeguard patrolled throughout the bathing season and has been awarded the internationally recognised Blue Flag. It is a popular destination with surfers, but beginners are advised to be aware of the rocks and reefs, which can be very dangerous. The beach is bounded on the North and South by rocks and on the east by the promenade roadway. Bundoran boasts not one but two great beaches – Main Beach and Tullan Strand. Main Beach covers a distance of approximately 500 metres and is easily accessible. Tullan Strand can be described as a surfer’s paradise, voted in 2016 by Red Bull as Ireland’s best beginner surf beach. A beach wheelchair is available for Main Beach
