Jatiluwih is a picturesque area in Bali known for its stunning rice terraces, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The name 'Jatiluwih' means 'beautiful' in the Balinese language, and the area is home to over 53,000 hectares of agriculture fields, mostly covered with rice terraces. Visitors can marvel at the vast expanses of terraced, green rice paddies stepped along an entire mountain, from its peak to where its foot meets the sea. The area is also home to several temples, including Pura Luhur Petali and Pura Luhur Bhujangga Waisnawa. Families can enjoy trekking, hiking, and cycling through the rice fields, and learn about the traditional Subak irrigation system, which is a unique and complex method of irrigation that has been preserved for centuries. The best time to visit Jatiluwih is between February to April, when the rice stalks are starting to grow, or in June and July, when farmers are harvesting their crops

Activities: We took a day trip here. We left around 8:00 in the morning and with a small stop at a temple, we were in Jatiluwih after 2 hours. We took a walk here (with stroller, yes yes this was just possible and with ease even) for about an hour in the middle of the rice fields
Highlights: The views here were beautiful! ✨
