Lakshman Jhula is a suspension bridge over the holy river Ganga at Rishikesh. It is a famous landmark place in Rishikesh, connecting Pauri district with Tehri district. The bridge is 450 feet long and offers a panoramic view of the river Ganga and Rishikesh city, which has a number of temples. According to legends, Lord Rama's younger brother Lakshman crossed the river Ganga on a jute rope at this location. The bridge is located near several major temples, including Trayambakeshwar Temple, Sachha Akhileswar Mahadev Temple, Lakshman Temple, and Sri Raghunathji's Temple
