Nahargarh Fort is a magnificent structure built in 1734 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur. The fort was originally named 'Sudarshangarh Fort' and was later changed to Nahargarh, which means 'Abode of Tigers'. It was constructed as a peaceful retreat for the king and the royal family, overlooking the city of Jaipur. The fort has a unique architecture, with a mix of Indo-European styles, and features several structures, including the Madhavendra Bhawan, which has suites for the king and his 12 queens. The fort also has a water tank, corridors lined with frescoes, and offers a stunning view of the city. Nahargarh Fort has never been directly attacked and has witnessed several historical events, including the Maratha Treaty and the sheltering of Europeans during the 1857 Indian Mutiny
